Jon Barnett may have been a Sergeant Major, but you won’t hear him shouting these days! Experience has given him the ability to plan and deliver truly memorable walking trips for all abilities and age groups.
Jon founded Peaks and Trails in 2017, a ‘one stop shop' created by a dedicated hillwalking enthusiast who has quite literally been there and done it.
Jon now wants to share his experience and knowledge with others to help them enjoy walking the diverse landscape of the United Kingdom as much as he does.
“Two of my most notable walks were leading a wet and exhausted group to experience the sunrise on Snowdon at the end of the National Three Peaks Challenge."
"The other was training and guiding a lovely retired couple to the top of Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons on a glorious September day.”

Jerry has recently qualified as a Mountain Leader after a lifetime of enjoying the great outdoors.
He first discovered his love for the mountains in The Lake District as a boy. The Army soon followed where he was to enjoy many adventure training expeditions including canoeing and skiing.
Jerry is now a keen cyclist, climber and hill walking enthusiast with Snowdonia and The Brecon Beacons some of his favourite locations.
He is often seen out with Chris (above) hanging off a crag or negotiating difficult scrambles!
Jerry is our newest member to the team and his outdoor experience and life skills have already helped on several challenging trips.

KATE
Kate's responsible for all things tech and marketing. She's helped us build our brand through to building our website (and the bits in between).

When she's not busy running around after her kids, she likes to run up big hills and mountains with her husband Luke and their Vizsla, Zephyr.

Kate's looking forward to joining Peaks & Trails on futures trips to the Lake District and Scotland, in particular Glencoe. She's hoping she might persuade the team to venture to the Cairngorms...

TAMMIE & LOLA
Tammie is a pure bred Devonian maid and Lola is also a pure breed, but a three year old fox red Labrador.
Tammie works for the NHS as a specialist respiratory physiotherapist at North Devon District Hospital. She has been treating patients for 15 years and has been ever present on ‘the frontline’ during the COVID crisis.
She is Jon’s inspiration and motivation since they met 6 years ago and keeps him on the straight and narrow.
Lola, well she’s just Lola and she hopes to meet you all on a walk someday!
